Ena najbolj gledanih serij vseh časov, ”Živi mrtveci”, se s premiero desete sezone vrača na kanal FOX. Serija je zasnovana po stripu Roberta Kirkmana, ki so ga izdali pri Image Comics. “Živi mrtveci” je najbolj gledana televizijska drama med odraslimi od 18. do 49. leta. V njej spremljamo mesece in leta po zombijevski apokalipsi ter skupino preživelih, ki jih vodi policist Rick Grimes. Skupina potuje in išče varen dom. Za serijo, ki so jo kritiki označili kot “resnični fenomen” (Variety), so izvršni producenti Scott M. Gimple, Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero in Tom Luse.

10. sezona temelji na vsebinah od 145. številke stripa naprej, v ospredju pa je priprava skupine na vojno proti Šepetalcem. Več mesecev po masakru med sejmom, ki ga je izvedla Alpha (Samantha Morton), se sezona osredotoča na združene skupnosti, ki se pripravljajo na boj, da bi porazile Šepetalce.
